Need a Place To Relax, but Can’t Afford Those Pricey Spas? Here is a Great Alternative.
Most resorts and hotels now boast having spas. This type of spa comes in a variety of styles and sizes. It can include anything from an extravagant resort hotel at an exotic get away to the smaller, more private inns. Most resort spas are located in urban setting where the average person will have a lot of other activities to enjoy as well.
Resort spas differ from those destination spas in that you will only be able to partake in the total wellness experience if you pay extra for it. In destination spas, they have special spa cuisine all the time. In resort spas, there will be a menu with everything from spa cuisine to the all time American favorites, but meals are usually not included in the packages.
The large resort spas will include a range of activities from golf to water sports, from horseback riding to skiing. Remember, what ever activity you want to partake in, most of this stuff will be extra money out of your wallet.
Unlike destination spas where kids are a no-no, some resort spas tend to cater to the families. They will have camps for kids with lots of activities. Be aware however that this sometimes is an extra cost as well.
If you are unsure if a resort spa is for you, keep in mind several factors. First, if you have a family and you will be taking your kids with you then a resort spa is definitely a great choice. Secondly, if you are one that like a variety of cuisine and would like to eat what you would like and enjoy an occasional glass of wine whenever you would like, then a resort spa is definitely your cup of tea. Remember, at resort spas, nothing is all inclusive. You can pick and choose what you would like to do. If you want a massage, you can pay for one. If you choose to golf, you can set your own tee time as well.
There are such large quantities of resort spas across the country; it is definitely a must to do the research to find out what there is out there, what each has to offer, and how much extra you have to pay on top of the cost of your stay. Regardless of where you stay, you will have a great time.
