Back pain can either be a slow developing pain that may have started during your childhood or one that is caused by certain activities that caused back strain.

There are two kinds of back pain. Chronic and acute.

Chronic pain is the slow pain that feels like softly eating you up while acute pain is the abrupt occurrence of pain from rigorous activities.

Chronic back pain can be relieved through simple to comprehensive methods of treatment. For some exercises, hot or cold compress and medications will do. But for those that have more aggravated conditions, you can try seeking surgical intervention to provide permanent relief. People needing immediate surgical attention are those who are affected by herniated disc, spinal stenosis, vertebral fractures, degenerative disc disease, tumor in the spinal column, infection, nerve root problem and spondylolisthesis

One central factor to the promotion of back pain relief though is that it can be physically controlled, either by systematic or non-systematic forms of treatment.
