Fathers Day Gift ideas
Some of the best Fatherís Day presents are those little projects that kids can make and give to their dads on the day. Itís really touching to know that the child spent a long time making something just for you, all the while thinking about how happy youíll be when you get it Ė even if the object itself isnít all that well-made or unique, I can guarantee that theyíll love it anyway. Here are some suggestions for Fatherís Day projects for kids.
One of the simplest things kids can do is make a special card for their dad instead of buying one in the shop. These cards are always cute, and more crafty kids can make things like pop-up cards that have a picture of their dad in the middle, or glittery cards with sparkly things stuck to them. You could even get them to design a t-shirt for dad, and then actually get it printed up at a print shop and try to make him wear it!
The same principle applies to anything kids have made, whether itís a nice poem, or something made from Lego Ė regardless of whether itís actually any good, itís the thought that counts. If you can, try to make whatever it is lots of fun for the child. Kids love cutting and sticking, for example, so why not get them to make a collage of things dad likes out of old newspapers and magazines? Kids love messy baking too, so you could help them make some cookies or a cake for their father.
A sure-fire hit when it comes to pure sentimentality is to take the child to the portrait studio and have a photo done of them, then give them that photo for Fatherís Day. It will almost certainly end up on their desk at work, reminding them of the child every day for years to come.
