It was in 1934 when Ferdinand Porsche was commissioned to build a small, inexpensive car at the request of Adolph Hitler. The Beetle was his very owned masterpiece. The beetle-shaped sedan was called a Volkswagen which is German for people’s car and made its debut two years later. The production of the Beetle was delayed caused by the war until 1949.
