How to Write an Article
As everyone is now discovering, one of the best ways of getting back links to your website is by writing and then distributing articles on the subject of the site. Over the past year or so it has been well documented that an article submitted to a number of article sites can result in your site having multiple back links, which will in turn provide you with an excellent page rank. On carrying out recent research on one of my sites where I submitted an article approximately 9 months ago I have found a number of links from sites with a PR of 5 and above and there is at least one link from a PR7 page. However, what do you do if you feel that you are unable to write articles, well hopefully the information I provide below will be of assistance to you.
However, what do you do if you feel that you are unable to write articles? Well hopefully the information that is provided below will help you gain the confidence to write an article for yourself. Many people who want articles and yet do not fell confident enough to write them themselves will usually hire a freelance writer to do it for them. However, the problem with this is that such people can charge up to per article that they write so when first setting up your internet business this may be a cost that you do not wish to incur. Therefore to avoid such an expense your best bet would be to overcome your lack of confidence and actually write your articles, it is easier than you think.
One of the first things you should remember when starting to write an article is to stick to subjects that you know about and that you feel comfortable talking to other people about. It is amazing that the number of people I have met who say that they cant think of a subject to write about and spend the next 15 minutes talking non stop about some past time or hobby that they are involved in. Therefore, if you are able to talk about it, you are able to write about it! One of the biggest obstacles that any new author has to overcome when starting out is looking at a blank page in front of them and thinking that they will never fill it! The first thing that you should keep in mind when starting out is that you do not need to fill the page and article should normally be between 250 and 500 words long.
The next obstacle to overcome is many people do not believe that they are able to write a full article. One way of overcoming this particular obstacle is to not look at it as an article but as a number of related paragraphs. By planning your article by jotting down the themes of 4 or 5 paragraphs say you will then be able to write each paragraph as a separate item and then once you have completed these you will be able to place all the paragraphs together and have your finished article.
A tip I would suggest that you use once you have finished any article you have written is to read it out aloud. This my sound silly, but it will give you a good idea of how easy it will be to be and also you will be able to correct any mistakes that you find that have now been picked up by your spell checker.
So you have finally written your first article and have submitted to a number of article directories you can now go ahead and write further articles using the methods detailed above. You will find that once you have written 10 or more articles and then go back and look at the ones you originally wrote, you will find that you writing stile will have improved and a good idea is to go back to these ones and rewrite them and then submit to another selection of article sites.
