Ways to ensure that Articles are published.
Since setting up a number of article directories over the last year, I have seen many articles being submitted to my sites being declined just because of several common little mistakes that have been made by the author, and which may have an adverse affect on how successful these articles are in helping to promote their sites.
The first real mistake that seems to commonly be made by any author is that they do not read through the article once completed to make sure that there are no grammatical errors or spelling mistakes. Occassionally the odd spelling mistake may go unnoticed, but it is not uncommon to find an article that has errors throughout. What this seems to convey to anyone reading the article is that the author is not particularly worried how their article looks or that they are just using this form of promotional tool to get their resource box being linked to as many sites as possible. Should you however with to gain that all important increase in traffic to your site by use of an article directory, it is extremely important that you present an article that is both interesting, informative, well written and that any grammatical or spelling errors have been corrected. Certainly you will find that more people who look at your articles will respect your opinion on your subject as an author and will also probably be more inclined to click on the link to your site in your resource box.
Any author that makes the decision not to carry out the basic checks in relation to spelling and grammar in their article, may find that they are not only losing a lot of free promotion to their site, but also are likely to find their articles being rejected by the directories that they have submitted to.
Another issue that arises when articles have been submitted to the directories that I have is that the author has provided an incorrect or broken link in their resource box. On several occasions I have noticed that the URL entered by the author is incorrect in only takes one slight spelling error for the link to be useless. Unfortunately not all article directories are checked manually and on some occasions the errors that appear in a resource box will be accepted by the directory and this will result in loss of traffic attempting to contact your site.
But if an author really would like to increase the chances of their articles being accepted at all times they should make sure that the present the article in a perfectly laid out format. This does not mean that the author has to format the article to a specific line width or style, but that it should in fact flow easily and freely when read from one line to the next. An author should also ensure that there is a line space between each paragraph when completed.
So if an author is really keen to ensure that the articles they write are accepted upon submission is just to follow the steps that have been provided above. No one can say that they have problems with spelling now days, when you have a spell checker on your computer at hand to help.
