With the creation of digital printing comes the numerous attacks that is getting especially if it is compared to the old ways of printing that some people are still vying for. The issue of cost and time do not seem to be enough reason why people should shift to digital printing.

For the meticulous persons, printing is more than just the cost and the efficiency. There are many other factors that needed considering before considering the modern printing methods of today.

Digital printing has many advantages over traditional methods of printing which is the press printing. But along with the advantages are some of the disadvantages that people have seen in the use of digital printing. What are these?

Color uncertainty. In digital printing, four colors are mixed together to form and create other carrying colors. They are usually printed in dots and need to undergo different processes before the final colors to be seen. During this process, the real colors will lose some of their aspects and those produce a different effect in cases of tones and shades.

The range of color. If you wish your color prints to become vibrant and more pronounced, digital printing is not the choice to be taken. This kind of printing has a lot of limitation with regards to saturation, brightness, etc. To be able to get that red out of the red color, the traditional way can be more effective.

Paper choice. A number of paper options can only be accommodated in digital printing. The thickness and texture of the paper are always a primary consideration when before a digital print is done. The quality print you want done will not be perfected once you opted for the paper that digital printing otherwise prescribes.

Format and style choice. Digital printers already have a menu set up about the design and layout that the prints should have. If you are the kind who would want a certain uniqueness done to your project, digital printing is not the answer. It cannot create designs that one does not normally see.

These are just some of the disadvantages that more and more people are seeing with the use of digital printing. Although there seem to be a lot of negative feedbacks about it, they are still being used by more and more people. Printers are also getting more digital by the minute.
