Keeping up a Healthy Printer
It is always good to set your printer in good condition after you have finished using it so that when you run to it in a few hours, it will work properly just as how you left it. If you can put your printer in a place where there is a good air flow, it would be just right. Keep it away from a strong light and do not place it in direct sunlight.
Placing your printers in direct sunlight causes it to increase the operating temperature to the disadvantage of your printer. If you keep on practicing this, your printer might not work for good and for long. Keep in mind that a toner should be set at a certain temperature, which is around 220 degrees Celsius so that the inside of your printer will remain hot.
Too much light can leak inside the printer, which will cause it to affect the quality of your prints. You might not know it but static electricity which comes from another equipment like large photocopiers and some other types of heaters can cause different problems in the prints.
Keeping your printer clean means keeping your prints clean also. The number one reason why your printer is damaged is because of debris and dirt. Most of the electronic problems and failures starts from having a dirty printer. If you keep the printer dirty for too long, it might be clogged causing inaccuracies in printing.
To avoid this, make sure that every time you change a toner cartridge, you need to clean the inside part of the machine. You can clean it with the use of a hair-free cloth in order to remove the toner and the paper dust. Clean every surface that needs to be cleaned. Make sure that you don’t miss any part.
Making use of a good quality paper helps a lot in keeping your printer. Imagine feeing your cat with dog food can be compared to feeding your paper with the wrong paper. Printers can get very sensitive so you need to follow these simple steps.
