Yamaha scooters
Many people when they think of Yamaha motorbikes think of very fast racing bikes; motorbikes that compete in Grand Prix, often winning; and the superb technology that has brought them international recognition as being one of the biggest and best in the business of making motorcycles. Some people forget that this technology is also used in their scooters and many other products.
Yamaha, as a company, goes back to 1887 when it started making reed organs. Since that time it has not only gained a well respected and well deserved reputation for excellence, but has diversified into many other areas.
Of course making musical instruments requires both expertise and knowledge of technology of all sorts. Their pianos, which are still some of the best in the world, require different specialists from their electric organs, their clarinets different from their violins and so on.
With the debut of new electronic sounds and musical media, Yamaha was determined to be at the forefront of the latest innovations. The range of products now made by this major corporation is truly staggering, from machine tools to semi conductors; computers to sporting goods; furniture to specialist metals, and so it came about that a logical move was into motorbikes.
In 1954 a team of development specialists put together from the best of all the relevant different technicians a new design for a 125cc motorbike. This was the beginning of an era of innovation and standard of technical excellence which brought about fame not only on the racing circuits of the world, but also on the roads of the world.
There are not many people who have not heard the name Yamaha, and you don’t have to be a motorbike specialist to know that the larger ones go very fast indeed. People also know that Japanese technology is some of the best in the world, and that with the diversification of a major industrialist the experts are there to design the very best that modern technology can provide, as well as developing new ideas all the time.
Of course the really good news for those of us who want to buy an inexpensive form of transport is that we can gain the benefit of this mega-technological age in the form of the new Yamaha scooters that they have designed and made. The standards are the same as the monster motorbikes, whilst for the rather more pedestrian of us who don’t necessarily wish to ride at 150mph all the time, the good old reliable scooter, available very cheaply and costing very little to run, is the ideal run about.
They may be cheap but they are still very, very stylish. Yamaha use not only their engineering expertise in making these machines but also their experience of styling and pure beauty to make the modern Yamaha scooters some of the best on the road. There is a big choice too, so whether you want to just nip around the city, avoiding the traffic jams or indeed going straight through the middle, or you want a day out in the country there is a scooter to suite you.
Of course most scooters are multi faceted, but the new breed of faster ones are not only economical to buy and use, but are also really very comfortable too. More and more people in the USA are moving to this form of transport for everyday use.
