Crete is the largest of the Greek islands and the fifth largest in the Mediterranean Sea. These mountains gifted Crete with fertile plateaus like Lasithi, Omalos and Nidha, caves like Diktaion and Idaion cave, and gorges like the famous Gorge of Samaria.The magic radiance of Crete is given by the supreme quality of the light here, the sharp rugged mountains meeting openly with clear seas. There is an abundance of wildlife, plants & flowers that are unique to the island. The ever-present scents of wild herbs, the taste fresh fruit, the best of the world’s olive oil and healthy, delicious cheeses are few of the Crete’s attractions. There is a great joy to sip a Greek coffee at the roadside in a mountain village with all the excitement and spillover of weddings and occasions, the history, the people and the world-sourced visitors.
