A New Breed of Vehicles: The Hybrid Vehicle

A new type of car that is becoming popular is the hybrid vehicle, which use rechargeable energy systems of storage to power the car. These cars can also use alternate methods of power such as gasoline as well. The internal combustion engine along with electric batteries are used in combination to power a hybrid vehicle most of the time. Newer versions of the hybrid vehicle actually use kinetic energy to help charge the batteries as well. The Toyota Prius is one example of this type of hybrid vehicle and simply breaking the car can help produce energy to recharge the battery.

In 1898, Ferdinand Porsche, who was from Germany, came up with a hybrid vehicle called the Lohner-Porsche, and this vehicle had an engine that worked by internal combustion to spin the generator, which then sent power to the electric motor of the vehicle. This innovative invention was shown in Paris at an Exhibition in 1900 and broke a variety of speed records with an amazing speed of 56 kmph.

In today’s world people are looking for vehicles with fuel efficiency and a hybrid vehicle is one of the fuel efficient vehicles you can find. Various vehicles are made in various ways to provide variety to those buying them. The new hybrid vehicle that has been devloped is making a move and is on its’ way to popularity because of the ingenious technology that is used to conserve and reuse energy.
