Super Bowl XLI will be celebrated next Sunday: February 4th. The Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts will play against each other for the most important title in American sports: the National Football League Championship.

The game will take place at the Miami Dolphins Stadium at Miami Gardens, Florida. This is the fourth Super Bowl that is played at this stadium. It will start around 5:30pm Eastern Time and some great artists will be there to perform what they do best: the Cirque du Soleil will be in charge of the pre-show; Billy Joel will sing the National Anthem and Prince will take care of the half time.

The winner of the AFC Championship Game will face the winner of the NFC Championship Game, in the culmination of the NFL playoffs.

Chicago Bears finished the 2006 season with an NFC best 13-3 record and advanced to the second Super Bowl in franchise history. The Bears surpassed at offense and defense, ranking second in scoring: 427 points and third in fewest points allowed: 255. Chicago also had the 5th ranked defense in fewest yards allowed and 2nd in interceptions.

The Indianapolis Colts ended this season with a 12-4 record and moved towards the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1970 season. It hasn’t been easy for the Colts. Over the last four seasons, the Colts won 48 of 64 games, but still could not find much success in the postseason.

In 2004, they had one of the most spectacular offensive seasons in NFL history, scoring 522 points and gaining 6,582 yards, with Manning setting NFL records for most touchdown passes and highest passer rating. But they were able to score only a single field goal in a 20-3 loss to the Patriots in the divisional round of the playoffs.

In 2005, Indianapolis seemed certain to reach the Super Bowl. They defeated the other teams on the first 13 games of the season and finished with a 14-2 record, while ranking second in the National Football League in points scored and fewest points allowed. But once again they lost in the divisional round of the playoffs, falling to the #6 seeded Pittsburgh Steelers, 21-18. By this time, critics were wondering if the Colts would ever reach the Super Bowl.
