December 4, 2006 (New York, NY)-The Dallas Cowboys took a firm hold on the NFC East division standings with a gusty win in New York yesterday and ornery Bill is on some kind of roll these days. First he banishes Bledsoe to the bench and inserts Tony (Ribs) Romo and he now has found diminutive Martin Gramatica, to replace the ousted Mike Vanderjagt at place kicker.

On the other sidelines yesterday stood a soon to be ousted coach Tom Coughlin, who made some critical mistakes in managing the clock and in two first and goal situations inside the 10-yard line where they settled for field goals.

Most people around the country who bet this game got a push, as the Cowboys were -3 picks, but some Betting outlets were offering the Giants at + 3 ½.

Although Mr. Romo continued his hot roll, a very mediocre Giants defense exposed some flaws in the youngster game. Although he is a very refreshing personality and full of vim and vigor, the party can only last so long and then defenses will close in for the kill.

SHANAHAN IS A VERY STUBBORN MAN!

My guess is there were several of people who wanted to join me last night and throw a brick through their television screen at Broncos coach Mike Shanahan. Throwing passes in practice is just a little different then facing complex blitz packages and me and the rest of America got sucked into the hype over the former Vanderbilt single caller.

The Broncos defense was incredible for three quarters, as they shot down Alexander and company, but interceptions and just a pathetic job by the rookie, caught up with Denver in the fourth quarter. Denver was favored by -4 ½ and the dog was barking loudly, after this one.

YOUNG IS PLAYING LIKE A VETERAN IN TENNESSEE!

Who says lightning doesn't strike twice? 'Remember the Titans' will be what the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts mumble to themselves for a long time as Vince, Rod Bironas and the rest of Jeff Fisher's crew have been nothing short of amazing lately. Actually, this little run began in Philadelphia three weeks ago and it is not exactly like they have been beating stiffs. The Giants had them 21-0 with 9 minutes to go in the game, yet Young rallied the troops to three scores and Bironas kicked the winner. Against the Colts they quickly fell behind 14-0 and yet they hug tough and rallies. The Titans last beat Indy 27-17 on Dec. 8, 2002. Young improved to 5-4 as a starter. He has scored at least one TD in each of his first nine starts.
