The Saints Are Marching In The Playoff Race!
October 16, 2006 (New Orleans, LA) - Greetings from the French Quarter as New Orleans Saints fans are still reveling today, just hours after their upstart Football team clipped the Eagles in the Super Dome.
Yesterday was suppose to be 'come back to earth day' with Donovan McNabb and his posse in town, but once again Drew Brees is clearly the leader of the black and gold squad. The former Charger and Purdue Boilermaker calmly drove the team down the field in the waning moments and secured a huge victory.
New Orleans led at halftime by the score of 17-3, but McNabb quickly erased that is a devastating 3rd quarter and it looked like the Eagles were going to blow the Saints out of the stadium. Philadelphia was a -3 point pick at America's favorite online sportsook Sportsbook which was surprising, considering that New Orleans was undefeated at home.
The Saints enter the bye week 5-1 and when they return, they will face an ornery Baltimore Ravens team that allowed over 400 yards in their own house, against Steve Smith and the Carolina Panthers.
Philadelphia is now 4-2 and must head to Florida and face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that are a dangerous team these days with rookie Bruce Gradkowski at the controls. The Bucs scratched and clawed their ways to a 14-13 victory over the talented Cincinnati Bengals and while they are 1-4, they are rejuvenated
The linemakers are not biting on the rookie quarterback and have installed the Eagles as an early -4 ½ pick and I like the puppy here. Next Monday the New Your Giants will look to become the Road Warriors when they travel to Dallas for the TO show.
Mr. Owens is the toast of the town today after his 3 touchdown performance against the dysfunctional Texans. The Cowboys looked disinterested in the first half, but then got the wakeup call and an easy victory against Houston.
The Giants were a dog at Michael Vick and Atlanta, but laid a beating on the talented quarterback and shutdown the lethal running attack of the Falcons. The problem for the visitors here, is that winning on the road in the NFL is tough enough one week, but try and win twice in a roll as guests and underdogs is asking a lot.
The total has been set at 45 and you can staff informed by visiting Sportsbook the online gambling haven for Americans.
