It has been an interesting year for Matt Leinhart with the January BCS Championship loss to Texas, his brief affair with Paris Hilton, his stock dropping in the NFL draft and subsequent holdout, and then the news that he’s about to become Big Papi!
Word leaked out of California yesterday that Brynn Cameron is due to deliver a boy in November according to her father, Stan Cameron who told the Ventura County Star for Wednesday’s editions.
Cameron, a 20-year-old junior guard on the USC women’s basketball team, and Leinart dated while he attended USC. He graduated in December and was drafted by the Cardinals in April.
Tonight Leinhart will get his most extensive work of the preseason when the Denver Broncos head to Phoenix to tackle the Cardinals. He will oppose highly publicized Jay Cutler from Vanderbilt, who was drafted 11th one spot behind Leinhart, so check out the odds on these players at your favorite sportsbook.
College Point Spreads Falling Faster Than Britney Spears’ Popularity!
There are a lot of intriguing match-ups in week 1 of the College Football season and the spreads for several marquis games are falling towards the dog. Notre Dame has been the over-hyped preseason selection of many publications and they visit Michael Vick country and have date with Chad Gailey’s Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
The line was ND -8-7 but now sits at Irish -6 ½. People into football betting are concerned with the Irish defense and whether they can control Ball and Johnson. Remember Gailey was a leading assistant for years in the NFL and his players always play well in the role of puppy.
USC destroyed Arkansas 70-17 last year and now they head into the hot and humid Razorback state. There has been a mass exodus of star players at USC, but the cupboard is hardly bare. The line was USC -8 but is tumbling fast. Interesting to note that one sportsbook has Arkansas -5 at home later in the month to Alabama, so the linemakers respect the Hogs!
