Positioning of the Topex Product Range
Since its formation in 1990, Topex’s design & engineering skills, technologies, products and services are firmly rooted in the telecommunications industry, with a strong voice communications background.
Over the past 8 years, with a considerable degree of innovation, flair and foresight accompanied by prudent financial management, Topex has evolved its business to become a leading player in its domestic and regional markets in the provision of telecommunications products that enable the migration to fully convergent Next Generation Networks (NGNs).
Topex has chosen to address both the public network operator sector (Carriers and Service Providers) and the private network sector (SMEs, larger enterprises and public sector / governmental organisations). This is a strength in that, in particular, referenceability in highly demanding public sector applications, for example in Telcos and Air Traffic Control, represents significant credibility in enterprise markets, leading to genuinely differentiated value propositions. In itself, this makes Topex an attractive company to do business with, but it becomes even more attractive given its location in Romania and the benefits that accrue especially from the extremely low cost base.
An increasingly important characteristic of the communications marketplace is the notion of communications applications in recognition of the importance nowadays of using software to target specific business requirements as shown in the generic model below. No longer can communications be thought of as simply “plumbing”.
This approach is fundamental to the Topex product range and forms the basis of C21Communications high-touch and value-add distribution business model.
The Topex range comprises a number of product families, each addressing particular business needs dependent on market sector, covering:
Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC); Broadband wireless applications; Multimedia Gateway systems (connecting the “old world” to NGNs); Enterprise NGN IP Multi-Service Access and Softswitch systems; Carrier-grade NGN IP Communications Application systems; and Class 4 & Class 5 Carrier-grade NGN IP Softswitch.
