The founder of Wal- Mart Stores is Sam Walton 9in 1962. This corporation is the largest retailer in the world and was formerly the largest company on the basis of revenue in the year 2004. Wal mart retails its products through departmental stores and basically the products re non-grocery. However off late the focus has been shifted to super centers that include a lot of grocery.

There are also over 1156 Wal- mart discount stores in the United States. Wal- Mart has been criticized by socialists as incorporating the evils of capitalism and cutting the costs and providing the goods at competitive prices.
Wal- Mart super centers covering an approximate area of 175000 to 225000 sq ft of area have everything that the discount stores have and apart from that they also have a full line super market.
