It’s never too early or too late to train a dog. If you have just brought a puppy, then puppy training is great, the younger the better! But whatever the age of your dog, you can teach him to obey your command.

The most important points to remember before embarking on the process of training your dog are that you must provide patience and consistency.
Learning to communicate with your dog in a way it understands is probably the hardest part. Start with one-word or two-word commands. Dogs will quickly pick up on the sound of the command and associate it with the desired behavior. Most trainers recommend using treats and praise when the dog demonstrates the desired behavior.
Reward your dog when he does something right and a short, sharp reprimand with your voice when they do wrong. You should never hit or spank your dog; this can only lead to more problems
Lastly, always keep the training fun for both you and your dog.
