Classic Dog Bones
1 cup Beef, Chicken, or Vegetable stock 1 cup all Purpose Flour 1 cup Whole Wheat or Rye Flour 1 cup Bulgar Wheat ¼ cup Non-Fat Dry Milk ½ ts salt 1 ½ ts yeast
Mix all ingredients (preferably with machine mixer). Roll dough to ¼” thickness. Cut out with your favorite cookie cutters. Use baking sheets sprinkled with cornmeal and cover with kitchen towels and allow to rise in warm place for 45 minutes. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Turn off oven and allow cookies to stay in oven overnight to harden.
Carrot Cookies
6 jars Baby Food Carrots 2 Eggs 1 tablespoon garlic powder 2 cup unbleached all purpose flour 1 cup dry rolled oats ¼ cup wheat germ
Combine carrots, eggs, and garlic(mix until smooth). Add dry ingredients. Roll out onto floured surface and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes. Centers will harden as they continue to cool.
Cheddar Cheese Biscuits
5 lbs flour 2 cups brown sugar 1 stick margarine 1 can cheddar cheese soup (undiluted) 2 teaspoon garlic powder 2 teaspoon salt 4 cups warm chicken broth 4 eggs
Mix all ingredients until smooth. Roll onto flour surface. Cut into favorite shapes. Brush top with beaten egg and 1 tablespoon of milk. Place onto greased baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until tops are golden brown. If kept longer than 3 to 4 days biscuits should be refrigerated or frozen.
