Lip sticks – a woman’s Craze
Lipstick happens to be one of the basic Cosmetic of a Woman. Most of the Women of today cannot live without it, and such is the craze they have for this piece of stick that adds color to their face.
We learn that the Lipstick is in existence from the ancient days of the Egyptian Civilization and there are references pointing out that Cleopatra used a special kind of beetles to color her beautiful Lips to deep red. She felt that her lips’ colors attracted her lovers more.
In the ancient times the women from the Royal families, Nobles, and people from rich and affluent families alone were using the Lipsticks. But from the last Century the sense of beauty began striking among the women of ordinary families also and the habit of using the lipsticks virtually exploded. Nowadays it is very rare to find a woman who is not using it.
The Spread of the Western culture and the influence of the Films increased on the People in general and the habits used in them though never used before began to be tested by the common people and thus the habits like using of Lipsticks became widespread. This was further spread by the Lipstick manufacturers who for their own good saw to it that the using of Lipstick was made as much as possible.
In the olden days of the 18th Century, lipstick and make- up were used mainly by those women who have to lure and attract men. As days passed by women belonging to respectable families also began using Lipstick and today it is a universal phenomenon and has become an inseparable part of a Woman.
For a woman of the Present day the lipstick is one of her essentials in her life and without which she cannot venture out of her house without remorse. They always want to look neat and clean with their make- up and without the Lipstick the make- up can never said to be complete. Thus the lipstick is an integral part of a woman’s life.
In Modern days the Lipstick is made of Wax taken from bees wax or form the plants and trees, added with oils like Olive Oil, Castor Oil etc. The color of a Lipstick comes from various coloring stuff like chemical or natural dyes.
A Lipstick is a commonly used make- up item that is both cheap and lasts longer. Hence most of the women have a full range of Lipsticks to match for any occasion and also to match any outfit they may wear.
Lipstick is an inseparable item in woman’s wardrobe and their craze for this little item is ever expanding.
