Relationship Problem - No Space in Love?
When two people are in love it is only natural that they would want to spend most of their time with one another. This is completely acceptable, as long as both parties involved agree to spend all their time together. What happened sometimes is that one person in the relationship becomes a little too attached to their other half and that is when the problems begin. When your partner starts getting very clingy, it can be hard to accomodate him or her. So, if ever you faced a man or woman who gets after you too much and not in a positive manner, read on and see how to deal with such a person:
Avoid Calls And Messages
The easiest thing to do, is to not reply to every single phone call or message that is sent to you, simply because he or she needs to hear your voice or check on what you are doing. This way they will get the hint from the very beginning that you are not the type to devote every single moment of your time to the relationship. If you draw the line in the initial stages, your partner will know when the appropriate time or place is to call or message you.
Do Your Thing
Make plans with your friends or family and try not to include this person in all your plans. By doing this he or she will understand that they are not the sole priority in your life and will hopefully get the hint. Also, if you make plans without him or her, it might allow them the space to build a social network of their own, without depending on you.
Get Them Busy
Often, a person tends to get clingy when he or she has too much free time on their hands. With that in mind, look for any extracurricular activities or volunteer work that may be of interest to him or her. If your partner is truly in love with you, he or she will take suggestion to heart and you, in turn may be the one who wins in the end.
Be Honest
When all else fails, just tell him or her outright. This might be a little harsh but if you have no choice just go for it. If you cannot be with a person who needs to cling to you all the time and can't allow any space for yourself then you need to let them go. It might be hard but it needs to be done for your own happiness.
When two people are in a relationship it is important that there is balance on both ends. So if you feel that your partner is being asking for too much, then either try to sort out the issues or let him or her go before the relationship destroys you both.
