Infiniti Keeps The Momentum With The QX56
After a record setting sales development last year and the successful debut of the G sedan, Infiniti would most certainly not let the momentum down that easy by letting this year's North American International Auto Show pass without launching a striking car. The Infiniti QX56, a full-size sport utility vehicle with updated features, was launched in said auto show to boost the automaker's momentum in the auto market.
With a brand new interior, refined façade and a bunch of additions, the automaker expects that Infiniti aficionados will be hooked by the new vehicle. They will not only be mesmerized by the new-found styling, comfort and technology offered by the SUV; they are also expected to love its totality.
The all-new QX56, built at Mississippi manufacturing facility, is given redefined features without sacrificing the towing capacity and performance of the SUV. “Like the all-new G Sedan, the 2008 QX demonstrates Infiniti’s philosophy of constantly evolving in the competitive luxury segment,” said Mark Igo, vice president and general manager of Infiniti. “Despite being voted by consumers as top in its class in the J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, we’ve given the new QX significant upgrades in the areas of interior design, performance, luxury features, and technology.”
This is QX56's first major revision since its inception in 2004. Auto parts Infiniti in the all-new QX56 include new center console stack and gauge as well as improved automotive materials. The interior of the car is highlighted by a new instrument panel cluster design with Fine Vision electroluminescent instrumentation and a new genuine wood grain interior trim. In connection with its ergonomics, the latter has been improved by using a new 3rd-row power folding seat, a new stone interior and a standard heated steering wheel on the 4WD model.
The new SUV from the automaker is also given new front and rear fascias, new front fog lamps, new roof rack, standard 20-inch chromed aluminum-alloy wheels, and two new exterior colors – Lakeshore Slate and Serengeti Sand.
A number of technological advancements like the standard Premium Audio System with Bose Speakers, Burr-Brown Digital Audio Converter and 9.5-gigabyte Music Box hard drive and compact flash slot for playing MP3 files, and the exclusive Navigation system and Intelligent Key, are incorporated in the new vehicle. To offer drivers the opportunity to select the most efficient route, Infiniti equipped the new vehicle with the Mobile Entertainment System with a larger screen and a standard XM NavTraffic system with real-time traffic information.
Despite the overwhelming refinement made to QX auto parts, the new SUV maintains the roominess, ruggedness and power imbibed in its class. The 5.6-liter V8 engine generates 320-horsepower. It helps the vehicle tow things weighing up to 9,000-pound. Since the demise of the Q45 which is valued more than the QX56, the latter becomes the most expensive Infiniti in the North American auto market.
The launch of QX56 at the recently held auto show in Detroit is part of Infiniti's promise to deliver three new cars in thirteen months. Prior to QX56's debut was the launch of G Coupe and a new crossover sport utility concept at the 2007 New York International Auto Show in April.
