What Comprises Miami Auto Show?
From Acura to Volvo vehicle displays at the recently held South Florida International Auto Show in Miami Beach, it can be noted that the automotive world has more surprises to offer. Extraordinary, exotic, peculiar and remarkable cars are bared at the auto show to create striking highlights.
Mercedes Benz, BMW, Nissan and Infiniti are just few of the automakers who participated and flaunted their best lineup of vehicles. Mercedes-Benz, for one, has unveiled its all-new CL-Class coupe and has made its debut in the Miami auto show. It was previously planned to be launched in said place because South Florida is said to be the third biggest Mercedes-Benz market in the country. CL550 is powered by quality Mercedes Benz parts, which include the new 5.5-liter V8 engine which is capable of producing 382 horsepower, 391 lb-ft. of torque. Early next year, its new CL600 will be featuring a V12 engine. The new power engine of Mercedes can produce 510 horsepower, 612 lb-ft of torque.
BMW M, through its president Ulrich Bruhnke, has announced its latest M6 Convertible. M6 coupe and convertible are powered by V10 engine. When asked why M6 convertible is the choice of the automaker when the coupe is already successful, Bruhnke said, ''People like to go to the opera. Others like to go to open-air concerts. This is an open-air concert with the most powerful orchestra you can order -- a V10.''
Nissan, on the other hand, will have 5 brand new or extremely redesigned models by next year. Said models will make use of the recent groundbreaking Nissan parts. They include Quest, Maxima, Versa, Sentra and Altima.
Jack Wilkerson of Infiniti noted the automaker's most successful car – G35. All-new G35 will be having the same wheelbase but made wider, longer and heavier. Pricing of said model has not been revealed. The coupe will be released on April at the 2007 New York Auto Show.
