On Choosing Business Card Backgrounds
Choosing a good background is important in a business card. You just don’t pick any background which you think is nice to look at because they might not just suit business card standards.
Some business cards use photos as a background for business card. There are a lot of ready designs that you can choose from. You can even use your own photo but only if it is applicable.
If you are using graphics there are some things that you need to consider. Simple things that will keep your business cards look stunning.
First thing you need to consider is the background. You need to ask how detailed is the background and if it is necessary to include one. You need to decide if you are going to incorporate too much text or too much design. If you are planning to use more text, you need to reduce the background so that the text will be more visible. Patterns, which have a shark contrast, may be very difficult to apply on business card designs. Using zebra stripes may affect the text and the content of your business cards. It may look too difficult to read and some of the customers are not even patient to read it.
If you are going to use zebra line effects, you should use a different font color for the text so that it will still stand out. You can get colors that can get lost with the black stripes. Text should be readable because it makes sense in the business cards.
If text cannot be read properly, then your business cards will be of no use at all.
Color scheme is important in business cards. If you are applying colors for the background, you should use a different color for the design or the content. Make sure that the content is readable and the background does not over attract the text.
You can use complementary colors in the background and text. Choose a color that will contrast each other so your business cards will not be hard to decipher. Above all, your business logo should stand out because it stands for your business name.
