Right, enough of the build-up, here's our formula in a nutshell...
1. Have a "good-enough" product or service ------------------------------------------------------ Whether we think it's fair or not: a "good-enough" product with "fantastic" marketing will always sell more than a "fantastic" product with "good-enough" marketing.
So don't let your goal of creating the perfect product distract you from your real work - selling it.
2. Get great endorsements from respected authorities ------------------------------------------------------ Do you want to know the secret to getting great endorsements? It's really so obvious that I don't know if you'll believe me. Just ask! That's it! Of course - it helps if you know HOW to ask too - but that would be giving too much away in a FREE article and I have a book to sell! ;-p
3. Offer HUGE value in relation to their investment ------------------------------------------------------ You need to offer a veritable treasure-chest of bonuses - ebooks, special reports, audios and the like that relate to the thing you're trying to sell. These bonuses should combine to be worth AT LEAST as much as the thing you want them to buy. So how do you do that? Because it won't work if you just offer any old junk!
4. Get the sneezers to tell their mates ------------------------------------------------------ Seth Godin first coined the term Sneezers in his excellent book, The IdeaVirus. Basically, these people love to share news about cool stuff with their friends. If you can get them to share your idea like, "buy my book" for instance, then your sales will soar rapidly.
Locating sneezers requires you to understand who you're targting and getting them onside will be easier when you have something amazing (and huge value) to offer.
If they like what you're doing then by finding the right 20 people to help you can easily reach 250,000 people upwards in a single day.
