"When we are driving our vehicles on the roads, our usual tendency is to outrun the vehicles in front of us most especially when we are in a hurry. We try to overtake the other vehicle even without first ensuring the safety of our move. All we care for is to get in time for our work or appointment and we just don’t mind whether we become involve in a vehicular accident.

This is the usual scenario that happens on the streets and roads today. A lot of drivers forget the basic norms of “driving slowly but surely”, instead they exercise the “fast and the furious” type of driving. Many tend to forget the fact that most of the accidents that occur on the roads today are actually the result of negligent driving. When drivers are holding the wheels and trying to beat the prevailing traffic lights, you can expect that vehicular accidents are most likely to happen.

Why take chances in putting our lives at risks. It is still best to follow the basic principles in driving, like “don’t drink and drive”, “drive slowly but surely”, “give way to pedestrians”, or “observe defensive driving”. By following these simple and basic norms, we have lesser chances of being involved in a vehicular collision.

Life is short, life is fast, and we only live once so, let’s live it right. As drivers, we just cannot be unmindful of our safety and that of others while we navigate our vehicles on the road. We must at all times be cautious and careful whenever we drive. Our life here on earth is merely temporary. We just can’t afford to make a life-threatening mistake in our lives because once we get involved in such a situation, there is really no turning back.
