What is a modular home?

Modular homes are built in sections in an indoor factory setting where they are kept from adverse weather conditions. The sections move through the factory with quality control checking them after each and every step. The finished modules are covered for protection and then they are transported to the customer’s new home site. The pieces are then placed on a pre-mad foundation, joined together and completed by a builder whom the customer has made prior arrangements.


How long does it take to build a modular home?

It can save you money but it depends on the area, the design and other factors as well. Construction costs are sometimes less per square foot for modular homes than that of regular homes. Sometimes - construction costs for a modular home are sometimes less per square foot than for a similar site-built home.
