Evolutionary Re-Birth Is Your Birth Right
The media feeds us story after story of political, economic and natural disasters. Some would have us believe that we’ve finally reached the “end times”. But others welcome what the ancients called “The Shift of the Ages”.
It’s true, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come to the conclusion that the US – indeed the entire human race – is on the brink of something big.
It’s all too easy to view our current shared human experience with a sense of dread and fatalism. We know in our heart of hearts that killing countless thousands of humans to get more commodities like oil and destruction of our natural resources are unacceptable. We agree that insatiable greed and power lust must stop if we hope to avoid sure disaster.
Can we continue to turn a blind eye, believing that we’ve passed the point of no return?
It doesn’t have to be that way.
In fact, I truly believe that we’re being given a “wake-up call”.
It’s ok to question clever memes that tell us things like war is the way to peace. It’s natural to have serious misgivings when we consider contemporary paradigms that tell us things like: the wealthy should have all the power and get away with murder; death after 80 years or so is natural; suffering and sickness is inevitable; and, religion is the only way to goodness.
Even though the unknown can certainly be frightening there’s no need to fear the future. The human race is approaching rebirth – not the end of the world. The birthing is certainly going to be uncomfortable for awhile. But this re-birth will allow us to stop playing ignorant to what is going on around us long enough to want to grasp a new vision. It will enable us to return to the reality of non-suffering with a totally new way of doing things. This re-birth challenges us to see with new eyes and to learn how to consciously and compassionately create a new paradise where compassion overrides the ego’s rule.
It’s time to look back to ancient history and ask – not with fear and trepidation but with anticipation – and ask the hard questions. “What does the history of our human condition tell us?” “What really happened in the Garden of Eden?” “And can we reclaim our birthright and go back to Eden now?”
When we ask the right questions and review the facts – remembering that the very act of giving something unconditional attention begins its transformation -- we can set aside the unconscious conditioned code of behavior, values, and half-truths passed down through the generations. And then, finally, we can recapture the paradise that human kind was destined to enjoy.
There’s an evolutionary movement afoot that promises to expand our very existence. We are in the unique position to leap to new minds, new bodies, a whole new world and achieve all we can be.
