Laser Therapy to Quit Smoking is a total Scam.
Have you seen those advertisements promising 96% success rates for quitting smoking? Well if you've considered using Laser Therapy to quit smoking please read this first.
Members of the consumer health watchdog group Public Citizen’s Health Research Group has petitioned the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to stop these companies from promoting their laser therapy as a method of quitting smoking for its customers.
Why have they done this? Because according to Dr. Sindey Wolff, the director of the currently contentious watchdog group, the companies using the laser therapy do not have FDA clearance to market the lasers as a viable therapy for helping people to quit their smoking habits, and there has been no scientific evidence that the lasers are safe and effective.
"There is a prohibition on any kind of marketing or advertising for any unapproved uses of an FDA-regulated product," Wolfe said. "It's just a massive fraud."
So what is Laser Therapy and how is it supposed to work? A low intensity laser beam is applied to specific acupuncture points in your body, specifically around the ears. It is in effect a form of acupuncture.
In the eyes of practitioners of acupuncture, in nearly all cases, laser therapy would be a less effective method of stimulating the appropriate acupuncture points used for treating smoking addiction.
So its a less effective form of acupuncture. But how effective is acupuncture at helping you quit? Not very. Tests have shown that acupuncture is not very effective at helping you quit smoking. The actual number of people who quit smoking using acupuncture is very very low. Less than 5% in fact.
When you take into account the people who quit using willpower alone it could be argued that acupuncture is of no use at all.
To sum up Laser Therapy is a less effective form of acupuncture. This in its self is not a very effective smoking cessation therapy. But Laser Therapy is also much more expensive. Expect to pay 0-0 for a single session.
So if you are thinking of using laser therapy to quit smoking please save your money, and use one of the more traditional and more effective methods.

About the Author: My name is Joseph Gobb i am 58 years old. I am married and have two children. I have been a smoker for over 35 years. I have made a few half hearted attempts to stop over the years. But it wasn't until i went to see my doctor with shortness of breath that i made a concerted effort to stop. He told me i was a physical wreck and i would be dead within 10 years if i didn't stop smoking. I tried nicotine patches and gum, although they did help reduce my habit i could not quit completely. I then tried laser therapy but found it was a complete RIP off. I then tried a new wonder drug Chantix but it didn't work either. I then did some research into all the top methods to quit smoking. What i found is truly shocking. There are huge corporations out there preying on the American public. Ripping them off with sham products and misleading advertising. I then decided to create a website to expose these people for what they are.
