The firs, and most obvious is the pain in the neck, followed by difficulty in swallowing, sometimes even opening your mouth. Together with this symptoms, a person may also experience fever, rash, red tonsils and sometimes even nausea and vomiting. All these symptoms may indicate a strep throat, but not necessarily. Your child could also be suffering from another problem like a virus or tonsillitis. So it is best to go to a doctor and take a strep test to better diagnose the problem. The test is very short and painfulness. So now you know what a strep throat is and what to do about this. But there is still one question left without an answer. What causes strep throat? Well, the answer is as easy as the question. The cause of the pain in your throat, called strep throat is a streptococcal bacteria. This is one of the most contagious bacteria and can be taken virtually from anywhere. It flows in the air, it lays on doorknobs, hands. The best thing to do to protect oneself from this bacteria is to keep a proper higene. Wash your hand often, do not use somebody else' s things if they have not been properly cleaned first.
