They Sound Great – How Do I Get Them?
You’ll need to get organized if you want your special effects lenses for a specific date. This is because you need a prescription from your eye care Doctor – even if your sight is perfect. All types of contact lenses are now deemed to be medical items, not cosmetic.
It is possible to buy non sight-correcting lenses (called Plano lenses) online without a prescription but be aware that this is now illegal in America.
It’s been made illegal in the States because for contact lenses to fit properly, your eyes have to be measured by a professional. This only takes a few minutes and doesn’t hurt as nothing touches your eye. Just be aware that you will probably need to book an appointment so get started early. This will allow time for the measuring and the ordering of your lenses for the big night!
