I know, jock itch isn't the most easiest thing in the world to talk about. But aside from it being somewhat embarrassing, it's also a health issue that's more common than you might think.

Practically anyone who often sweats in their groin area can get jock itch. So, the question is, what is a home remedy for jock itch that works well?

Jock Itch Treatment

Keeping your groin area clean and dry is the most important point in treating jock itch. You should also wear loose fitting clothing that allows air to penetrate the area. Tight fitting pants will only aggravate the problem.

Other brands you can check out include Desenex, Fungoid and Micatin. They will all treat the fungus that causes jock itch.

Another remedy that has been around for many years is using corn starch. Simply applying corn starch to the area has proven to be effective in curing the itch long before these other products came out.

Regardless of what you use in treating the symptoms of jock itch, be sure to continue treatment for a couple of weeks. Don't stop using it tomorrow just because the itching stopped being so severe. Give it time to eliminate the fungus entirely.
