It is important to take care of your skin and hair according to your age. It is also important to reinvent your makeup tricks according to the different phases in life. For instance, if you are 40, and are still going through your teenage routine of hair and makeup, it is time to sit and up and take charge.
It’s an age that spells energy and a lot of action, fluidity and experimentation, but a word of caution: this is an age which is bombarded with information, so use it in a clever way.
Diet
What we eat shows on our skin. Crash diets and junk food are everyday items on our menu and we are all aware of how they can harm us. So, the magic word is “water the life force”. It is good for your skin and hair; it increases your energy level and flushes out the toxins.

Hair
Change your shampoo. Experiment with you hairstyles so that you can understand what style looks best on you. Consider these tips as guidelines to a cut in addition to your face shape and hair length.
Straight: A blunt cut can look dramatic or too sever. Softly angled layers add texture and create movement and fluidity.
Curly: Have long layers cut into your hair to remove bulk.
Wavy: For short hair, cut long layers at soft angles. Ask for vertical angles on longer styles.
Fine: Cut layers into dry hair according to how your hair falls around your face or choose a blunt cut; it will make hair appear thicker.
Makeup
To create the final look, we need to work on the makeup aspect.
Lips and eyes: Try pale, glossy lipstick and dark eyes. It looks terrific and modern.
Blemishes: Dab on a toner and then pint on the concealers with a brush and dust with powder to set; alternately use special concealers for covering up and treating blemishes.
