Cholesterol is different than any other condition. When you are given a cholesterol test, you are not being tested for a disease; rather, you’re being tested for your likelihood of developing a disease. That disease in particular is heart disease.

Once you start experiencing symptoms, like chest pain or shortness of breath, you already most likely have heart disease. The time to treat high cholesterol is now, before it spirals out of control and takes your health with it!
