You Can Buy And Sell Everything Else On eBay But What About Real Estate?
Buying and selling real estate online may not sound like a very sound idea, because most people want to see their home in person, but the amount of exposure that real estate gets over the internet is every realtor's dream.
Can you use eBay to market a home or business that you are selling? Yes, you most definitely can!
Realtors will find that eBay provides a popular selling place for everything from clothes to jewelry. It can also help to provide exposure to real estate that you are trying to sell. Another good point is that the advertising is relatively inexpensive when compared to other markets. There are other benefits, too.
One of the greatest benefits of selling real estate on eBay is that you are marketing to the whole world and not just the local area where you live. One million potential buyers roam the maze of eBay from countries all over the world. eBay is also available 24/7 without a realtor having to explain the details and benefits of a particular real estate. All you do is point and click.
How To Advertise Your Real Estate on eBay
If you have a home or other real estate that you want to sell, you can list it on the eBay Real Estate site that is found at http://www.pages.ebay.com/realestate/. You don't have to sell it at auction. If you prefer a fixed price, you can have eBay list the real estate in much the same way as it would be advertised in the local paper.
There are three different selling formats that you can use on eBay’s Real Estate page. They are the auction format, fixed price selling format, and the traditional real estate listing format.
Once you determine which format you want to use, you then furnish additional details about the property that you are trying to sell. These details include property type, lot size, bedroom number, bathroom number, the year built, and any other details that a seller would be interested in. Next you will need to determine how long of a selling period that you need. You can choose from a 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, or even 30 day auction or a 30 or 90 day non-auction selling period.
There are fees for both listing the real estate and a final value fee that eBay Real Estate charges. For a 1, 3, 5, 7, or 10 day auction the listing fee is 0 and a 30 day auction is 0. For a non-auction listing a 30 day listing is 0 and a 90 day listing is 0. If you are selling a timeshare or land, then the fees are a little lower. Final value fees for land and timeshares is and for homes or real estate there is not a final value fee that is levied.
The popularity of selling and buying real estate on eBay is increasing as the internet becomes popular in more countries. Of course nothing compares to seeing real estate in person, however, the exposure of real estate to prospective buyers on eBay is unparalleled.
