Real Estate Tips: Preparing your house for sale.
Every home seller wants maximum value and the home to sell fast. Would it not be great to have 2 or 3 people outbidding each other to be the proud owner of your home? With a little investment, effort, some paint dabbing and patching it can be achieved. This article will help you plan and give you the knowledge you need to have people jumping for your house. It's amazing the amount of furniture and rubbish (from the buyers perspective) that a home owner/family can collect during there living time there. This often clutters the house making it feel smaller and overcrowded than it actually really is. Rent a storage unit and chuck out everything only leaving the bear minimum amount of furniture in your home to turn it into a show house. Cracks, holes and drips its just amazing the women viewer can spot the smallest of the small. Dripping tap? Replace it. Old holes on the wall where a picture used to be? Patch it. Cracked tile in the kitchen or bathroom? Replace it. Blow en light bulbs, squeaky doors, stiff doors to open fix them all. These tasks do not take very long and can make all the difference between your house and the next house the buyer may be going to view. Dog hairs, finger prints on windows, dog excrement, used plates on the kitchen worktop do not help one bit. Make sure the grass is cut, nothing outside making the garden untidy and no Animal litter there for the buyer to view. Make sure the viewer can see her reflection in the windows, freshly hovered carpets and some air freshener to freshing the home up. Now put your mind in the the buyers perspective remember they haven't been to your home before. Start standing outside and ask your self the question... does this welcome me? Does this feel like my new home? If not look at other houses ask the same question and try to find what yours are missing. Go in every room and take a few minutes to analyze it. You want the colors to be as neutral as possible so you may have became accustomed to tango orange but the viewer may not have.
