Safety Voice Alert System Can Save Lives!
The phone call was one he’d been waiting for. Tom, a blind musician, was at home taking care of his young daughter Blythe when an old friend called to say he’d be coming into town in a few days after a long vacation in Europe. They chatted for quite some time, and little Blythe was bored without Daddy to play with. So, she wandered off… and found her favorite ball had fallen into the pool in the backyard. She leaned way over to grab the toy…
Some time later, Tom hung up the phone and called out for Blythe. No answer. He went to every room of the house, and onto the front lawn, calling out her name, with no success. It slowly dawned on Tom that a nightmare every parent has had had come to life in his home: his daughter had to have fallen into the pool. He went to the edge of the pool and called out, “Blythe! Blythe!” But she did not answer. He screamed for his wife and mother-in-law, due back from a shopping trip, but they had not yet returned.

After many minutes, he finally found the still, fragile body, pulled her out of the water, and tried to remember what he knew about rescue breathing, but Blythe had been underwater for quite some time.
This is a true story, and although Blythe survived and was just fine, she could easily have died. If Tom had taken any longer to find his sweet child, the results could have been tragic. You don’t have to be blind to not know where your children are every second. A voice alert system can call out to you “Alert! Child by the pool!” It can let you know if someone’s in your backyard, or pulling a car into your driveway. Studies have shown that people – especially children – respond better to voices than alarm bells or beeps. Protect yourself… before your story ends differently than Tom and Blythe’s…
