Draper Real Estate: Country Charm Meets City Chic
Since the 2002 Winter Olympics brought Salt Lake City, Utah’s great lifestyle to the world, the city’s population has boomed. With the vast array of outdoor activities and an astounding quality of life, the population of the Salt Lake valley has exploded. Much of the most sought after real estate in the valley is tucked into the south east corner of the valley in a small city called Draper. Draper was founded in the mid 1800’s by Mormon settlers looking for fertile farmland. The small town, named after one of the earliest settlers, William Draper III, soon gained a favorable reputation for its charm and its hospitable citizens. Today, the city retains a small town feel, with a fairly quick commute to downtown Salt Lake City. Draper’s astounding views of the Oquirrh (Oh`-Ker) Mountains to the west, and the towering peaks of the Wasatch Range to the east have made Draper a real estate development hot spot in the Salt Lake Valley. New buyers to the area will notice the spacious lots and the size of the homes in the newer developments. Many of these homes are custom built and include most any luxury available. Custom homes in the area often include stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, vaulted ceilings, and built-in home entertainment systems. But the luxurious homes are not the only draws to the area. Draper City strives to maintain a strong emphasis on community and the small town feel that gave the city its charm in the mid 19th century. Draper’s unique blend of farming community and luxury real-estate community has drawn many to the city. But don’t let the booming population stop a move to the area. The schools, shopping centers, churches, and parks in the area are all very close to all the neighborhoods. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area from fresh Mexican fare to chic Asian fusion. Draper is truly a city for all the seasons. Whether it’s the stunning fall colors or the captivating peaks of the Wasatch after a winter storm, Draper Utah’s real estate views make the area a unique destination to build or buy a home. If you’re looking to find a home with small town charm, with access to a metropolitan area, put Draper on your list of places to check out. Utah’s booming economy and community values make the city a great place to live- Especially if your idea of fun is hitting the trails or the slopes.
