When Words Fail, Flowers Come to Your Rescue
Flowers are perhaps the sweetest thing you can give your loved ones. The most ludicrous gadgets will be invented by humanity, the most adorable stuff toy and most astounding Valentines card will be manufactured, and civilizations will rise and fall. But flowers will remain to be the simplest, sincerest and most touching gift we can send our loved ones. Pretty amazing feat for something that’s just quiet. Yes, flowers. Since time began and flowers bloomed, people have been giving flowers to mean the things we are too shy to say, but which are hearts want to say the loudest.
There are a thousand ways to give flowers, a thousand ways to deliver them. You can go for a solitary, discreet single stem, bright but unassuming, or you could send a gorgeous bouquet, complete with bow and cookies for good measure. Or for sheer dramatic effort, you can even send a truckload of flowers enough to fill your loved one’s home and extract that elusive, “yes, I will.”
Whichever way you send flowers, they are always appreciated. Everyone has a place in their home for a spray of lovely nasturtiums, orchids, roses, marigolds, carnation, freesias, or any other flower. And yes, different flowers deliver a specific meaning, but you don’t have to abide by them. Red roses might mean passionate love, but hey, other flowers will contest that. The next time you give flowers, pick something your loved ones surely hasn’t gotten before.
After all, the best flowers are sent impromptu. The best flowers are delivered for no reason, no occasion at all. There’s no grander surprise than waking up to the sound of the doorbell and finding the flower delivery person with the most enchanting arrangement of flowers for you.
It’s about time we give flowers on a daily basis and for no reason at all, but simply to touch lives and send our love. And hey besides being cheaper, sending flowers definitely beats giving yet another gadget to your loved ones.
Remember, flowers don’t require batteries.
