What Is It About

Based on the book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, this Susan Stroman directed and choreographed musical also won 11 Drama Desk Awards in 2001, as well! St. James Theater was known as Erlanger’s Theater when the Shubert Brothers built it in 1927. It was later renamed as St. James Theater in 1932.

The Producers – the musical on Broadway – is the musical version of the 1968 film by the same name. It is about a Broadway producer who is desperate for finances.
