The musical Mary Poppins comes to Broadway with a plot based on the hit movie and book of course with the same name. They did quite a bit of work with wires, allowing Mary Poppins to float in and out of the stage. Young children are being warned against seeing the new Theatre adaptation of Mary Poppins because it could be too frightening. We are both entertained and prodded to look within while following the adventures of her famous nanny, Mary Poppins, and the Banks children. Not to be compared with the movie, the Broadway production of Mary Poppins is prim, strict and never tells anybody anything.
