Free Picks. Written by BetWWTS and Ecobika Free Picks HOUSTON -140 (PETTITTE) VS. PITTSBURGH (SNELL) 7:05 ET There's just no quit in the defending NL Champs, and I'm expecting them to keep this solid run going against two of the worst teams in the NL this week. It all starts tonight as vet Andy Pettitte toes the rubber vs. Ian Snell who's been easier to solve when pitching at home this year. The Astros are 10-3 against the Buccos this season, and won't allow the opportunity of putting three more wins vs. them under their belts escape. It is truly shocking to believe, but the Astros are once again in the thick of yet another playoff chase. These cardiac kids continue to make serious runs late in the season, and they're at it once again. Last night's huge win at Philly pulls them to within two games of the Cardinals in the NL Central, and four games back of the Wild card leaders. WASHINGTON (ORTIZ) 7:05 ET We've been backing the Phillies on a daily basis throughout their torrid streak, and I see no reason to jump ship now with their ace on the bump. Brett Myers has been nothing short of solid this year sporting a 12-6 mark with a 3.94 ERA and 1.32 WHIP. He's 2-0 his L/3 starts with a miniscule 2.86 ERA and has only given up 20 hits in 22 innings of work while striking out 21 and walking 8. Ramon Ortiz had one solid streak this season, but he's been good for nothing of late. His bloated 8.27 Era and 0-3 mark will definitely not intimidate the Phills potent bats that have simply pounded poor pitching over the last month. After letting yesterday's game get away from them vs. Houston, I'm looking for them to put forth a solid showing tonight, and in this series overall. Don't be hesitant, lay the chalk with the Phillies stud and watch them win this puppy by a comfortable margin. Click here to bet on all games and view all lines and odds. LOS ANGELS -145 (ESCOBAR) VS. TEXAS (TEJEDA) 10:05 ET The A's have pounded the Mariners into submission all season long, and that might have caught up to them in this series. That's fantastic news for the Angels, and a win here and an A's loss will make the next few days very interesting. Kelvim Escobar has been a big disappointment this year, and would get himself back into the good graces of the Halos fans if he were to show up tonight. I'm expecting he will, and I'm looking for the Halos to take the second game of this series with ease. The Mariners kept the Halos chances alive last night by prohibiting the A's from clinching in extra innings. By taking two f three this past weekend at the Coliseum, the Halos have to continue to win the rest of their games, and pray to the baseball gods that Oakland continues to stumble in the Pacific Northwest. The Halos have handled Robinson Tejeda the only two times they've faced him, and I'm expecting more success tonight. Click here to bet on all games and view all lines and odds.
