Poker is gaining popularity around the world but the United States is still the undisputed poker leader.

When it comes to total earnings, American poker players outrank the next nine top countries combined.

Here is the list of major tournament winnings arranged by country, according to Poker Pages:

Stars such as Joe Hachem (Australia), Marcel Luske (Netherlands), Dave “Devil Fish” Ulliott (UK) and many more are raising poker’s profile around the world and sparking poker booms on every continent.

Hachem even took poker’s top prize on American soil, winning the 2005 World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas. But Americans are not ready to give up just yet.

Jamie Gold of Malibu, CA took the title from Hachem in 2006 and American stars Allen Cunningham and Annie Duke went deep into the tournament as well. Gold and fellow American T.J. Cloutier top the all-time winnings leader board.
