What makes My Space unique is the fact that it has features that are simple to understand. In order to give “great “features to the user, many web creators had messed up the whole business. The so called great features only added to the confusion, and many young users stayed away. They used the mail and chat services as they had no other option.
Myspace however has provided the necessary fillip to the burgeoning demand for networking. The users can create simple WebPages using either HTML or CSS. They need not even know this, as market is booming with myspace layouts that help the teenagers to choose the “look” that they want for their myspace layout pages.
Many of the popular artists, musicians and creative people are using the Myspace for promoting themselves. My space users can display a song of a band on their page by downloading it from the artist’s page.
There are quite a few criticisms of myspace, but looking at their popularity, it is hard to argue that myspace is going to lose in the long run.
Myspace epitomizes one of the chief reasons for the creation of World Wide Web. One of the earliest forms of creative usage of web was to have email services and creation of personal home pages.
However, with time, it was understood that many cannot create web pages using complex codes. There was also difficulty in visibility, unless one was a well known celebrity.
Myspace allows even common users to create webpages without any complex knowledge. One can be a novice in web, yet create good myspace cute layouts.
