Enterprise WLAN gets portability from C21 Communications
Predicting that the overall 802.11 equipment market will be worth .8 billion by 2009, Research firm Infonetics Research Inc. says that the enterprise market in particular is set to thrive, with revenue jumping 120 percent between 2006 and 2009. "The enterprise segment is where the action is” says Infonetics. The researchers claim that wireless LAN switches and controllers are becoming increasingly important for businesses and predict "double-digit annual revenue growth through 2009" for that particular sector. According to a similar report put out recently by Synergy Research Group Inc. , however, traditional standalone access points still represent the majority of enterprise sales at the moment. Synergy says that standalone enterprise access points surpassed a billion dollars in sales for the first time in 2005. Rival researcher Infonetics reports that in 2005, access points accounted for 81 percent of overall revenue, and WLAN switches and controllers accounted for 19 percent, but that the newer category of 802.11 infrastructure will represent 44 percent of the market by 2009. In this context exclusive provider in the UK and Ireland of Topex NGN and Fixed to Mobile Convergence portfolio, brings a truly remarkable portable plug & play (“PP&P”) product range enabling highly secure IP voice & data multi-user communications networks to be established instantaneously at any location.
Bytton provides support for any type of terminal device (connected by wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi) offering immediate broadband access via 3G (or 2G) wireless and/or DSL wireline services to the Internet and via secure built-in VPN facilities to corporate applications. In other words, a secure completely private “hotspot” in a box.
Bytton enables a whole team to become fully operational immediately without any separate LAN Server software or hardware. For voice communications, SIP compliant phones are supported, as are proprietary IP phones (subject to verification with Topex). A separate IP PABX can be added to the local network or provided as a remote hosted service.
