The Expansion of the Motorola Razr Family
Motorola have for a number of years now been marketing their various phones for men and women, however with the introduction of the Pink and Blue razr and it was naturally assumed that men would prefer the blue whilst women would prefer the pink. Motorola are probably right on this count. However, it seems to be the Silver version which has begun to capture the major part of new phone buying market during the past year or so, which has enabled Motorola to start eating into Nokia’s share of being the number one provider.
With the introduction of the Blue and Pink Razr’s and now the Motorola V3i with its iTunes software then it is more than likely that Motorola’s share of the phone market will increase even further.
The classic Silver Motorola Razr captured the lion's share of new cell phone buying over the past year or so, causing Motorola to encroach on Nokia's enviable leading position.
The types of people who are looking to purchase a Motorola Razr are the type who are saying hey look at me. Because of the styling and the shape of the Razr it is starting to make it the must have item in certain circles.
There are now a further four members in the Razr family and this does not include the original silver version. You now have the Razr Pink (Razr Pnk?) the Razr Blue (Razr Blu?), CDMA Razr VC for Verizon with EVDO and finally the Razr V3i with iTunes.
The best thing about all these new members to the Razr family is that they are exactly the same as the original version, but have additional features. For example the Blue and Pink versions are just updated styles of the original and are meant to make your phone more of an accessory, similar to wearing a stylish watch.
Whilst the Razr VC is to satisfy the appetite of Verizon Wireless subscribers, who have for some time been looking at versions provided by Cingular and T-Mobile. The phone works on the networks of CDMA standard wireless EVDO.
As for the Razr V3i it is hoping to redeem Motorola’s tarnished reputation in respect of MP3 phones. Until the original MP3 phone produced by Motorola (the Rocker), the Razr V3i has the capability of having the MP3 as an add on and tunes can be obtained from iTunes Music Store. The V3i also sports a 1.23 megapixel digital camera with 8x digital zoom, a full screen viewfinder and video capture. Another couple of features also included in this package is a plug in memory card and built in Bluetooth, what more could any gadget techno want.
As you can see the choices are limitless where the Motorola Razr is concerned and there are sure to be further additions to the family in the future.
